Warming up the new field
New field. New faces. New ideas.
RMS is proud to present our new flying site with beautiful scenery, gentle sea breeze and back-facing morning sun.
Almost most of the time of the day, we get head winds on the whopping 130m grassed runway – enough for any RC planes to take off in a scale-like manner, and land easily.
There is a makeshift loo for the gents (ladies can use the toilet a 5 minutes walk away to the Labrador MRT Station), a helipad, drone arena, safety guard nets to protect occupants both in the tentage and the pilots at the field flying.
The soft opening was indeed a success with many new sign ups. Some enthusiastic pilots like you and me rushed to fly solo after a simple proficiency test.
