RC Flying Beginner Course

Course Details
- Introduce UA regulations: CAAS Registration (above 250g), B-RID (above 250g), UABT (above 1.5kg and at least 16 years old), No-Fly Zone (OneMap App)
- Introduce the different Modes of transmitter and get familiar with both Left and Right hand control
- Basic Transmitter settings: Throttle cut, Timer, Expo
- Introduce Safety rules: Throttle cut, No flying above or behind ourselves, Announcing Take off and Landing
- Perform pre-flight checking: check linkage, control direction
- Instructor will take off and climb to a safe height. Control will be passed to student.
- Student to use only Aileron and Elevator to control the plane to fly straight and level
- Student to attempt turning
Subject 2 – Take off
- Learn Throttle and Rudder control
- Taxing on the ground
- Student to attempt take off
- Student to attempt turning and do low pas
Subject 3 – Landing
- Student to practice turning
- Student to aim at the runway and do low pass
- Student to attempt landing
- Aileron to keep wings level; Elevator to keep nose up; Throttle to maintain decent rate; Rudder to keep plane parallel to runway
Optional – Aerobatics
- Learn Loop, Horizontal figure 8, Roll, Inverted flying
FAQ
1. What are the available dates?
You can check the lesson dates on the Google Form.
2. Do you provide the RC Plane?
Yes. We will provide the RC Plane and Transmitter.
3. How many students for the class?
The max students per lesson is 2. If you want to take the lesson together with your friends, please check with us before make booking.
4. I don’t have any RC experience. Can I join the lesson?
Yes. Don’t worry about crashing, our instructor will buddy box with you. Instructor can take over the control any time.
5. Can I bring my own plane to fly?
Yes you can. However for the lesson we will use the Club’s equipment. You can fly your own plane after the lesson.
