Want to fly RC Plane/Heli/Drones but not sure about the Singapore rules and regulations?
Here are the things that you need to take note before flying any Unmanned Aircraft in Singapore .
1. CAAS UA Label – for UA Take Off weight above 250g
- Where to buy?
- Get from Singpost Online or visit Singpost Post Office
- How much does it cost?
- It is $25 for each label.
- How many do I need to buy?
- You need to buy one for each of your UA if they are above 250g.
- How to register?
- Paste it on the UA
- Take a photo
- Login to CAAS UA Portal and register it

2. B-RID (Broadcast Remote Identification) – for UA Take Off weight above 250g
This is a new rule starting from 1 Dec 2025.
- Where to buy?
- Go to Heron website to purchase.
- How much does it cost?
- $179.85 for a standalone module with built in battery.
- How many do I need to buy?
- Only 1 module is required. You can move it between your UA.
- How to register?
- Download the Airbridge Mobile App on your phone.
- Get your operator ID from CAAS UA Portal. You will only get your own operator ID after you have registered your first UA.

3. UABT (Unmanned Aircraft Basic Training) – for UA Take Off weight above 1.5kg and below 7kg
You need to take this course and get a certificate if you want to fly a UA weight between 1.5kg and 7kg.
- Where to take the course?
- You can take the course online with Apollo. It is a 2 hour online lesson. You need to take a online test to obtain the certificate.
- How much does it cost?
- $30.00
- Does the certificate expire?
- It doesn’t expire.
- Who can take the training?
- You need to be above 16 years old. If your children want to fly UA above 1.5kg and below 7kg, then you can take the course and supervise your children when they fly.
- Can I fly UA above 7kg?
- This cert isn’t sufficient. You will need to take Unmanned Aircraft Pilot Licence (UAPL).
4. OneMap App- to check No-Fly zone
This is the only official App to check no-fly zone in Singapore.
Make sure you check the OneMap before flying.
